Winter has arrived

Well, technically it's tomorrow.......however it's been winter in Canberra for many weeks now.  As part of my quest to cosy-up our bedroom ready for my annual winter hibernation, I purchased this beautiful cushion by US designer Thomas Paul.  Bargain at $85, down from $165 at the beautiful little Hive Gallery in Braddon.

Luxurious bed linen

This time of year just makes me want to crawl into bed and stay there.  The weather is turning chilly and I feel the urge to hibernate.  And it's not even winter yet!  My thoughts have been turning to how to make our bedroom extra cosy for the long months ahead.  Comfy looking linen sheets like these from Abode, could be a good start.  Don't they just make you want to crawl right in?

Or how about this beautiful marled cotton?

I'm also desperately wanting one of these grey heavy knit throws.  Couch.  DVD.  Me.

Vissy Credenza

I have lusted after the Vissy Credenza since I worked at Cite (now Zenith Interiors).   It had slipped out of my child-fuzzy memory until we met again at a launch party at the Zenith showroom in April.

Oh Vissy, I'd forgotten how I adore you......

Elephant Ceramics

What beautiful ceramics these are.  So tactile and moody, don't you just want to reach out run your fingers over them?  These pieces are the loving creations of designer Michele Michael at Elephant Ceramics.

There is an interesting interview with Michelle at Daily Imprint.

Inspiration

I've been a bit absent as I'm not feeling too well lately.  This cosy looking chair in this gorgeous light filled study cheered me up a little.  That painted wallpaper is rockin'.
