Christmas cookies

I've been making Christmas treats for Isobel's teachers and classmates this week.  My first attempt at decorating cookies.....so much fun!

Desperately wishing I was in Melbourne for The Design Files Open House this week.   The new Jardan collection really stood out and caught my eye.  Lusting after pretty much all of it....

 

Ecoco

 

Another shop with a constant colour palette that I've admired from afar is Ecoco in Launceston, Tasmania.  So keen to visit one day!  Once again, the restraint shown in a constant colour palette is very inspiring - but I always wonder if the owners get bored?  I certainly don't, looking at these images.......

 

 

Father Rabbit

 

Father Rabbit is my latest online obsession.  Well, that's not counting my latest fashion escapades of course.  I'm always impressed by designers and/or retailers who can stick to such a strict colour palette.  Looks fantastic as a curated collection.....but how do they stay so disciplined?  There are so many things out there that I love - one minute it's over the top colourful, the next minute it's monochromatic.  More power to those who can  stick so strongly to a theme.
