Angelucci Slimline

Loving the Angelucci Slimline Lounge....

Based on George Nelson’s timeless 1952 design, the Slimline Lounge system comprises 3 standard pieces – sofa, armchair and ottoman.  Available with timber legs, fixed or loose cushion seat, latex or foam cushion seat, with a multitude of variations that can be made to order to suit any living space.
Other customizations include colour matching timber legs, “gallery” bench, “L-shaped” corner suites and attached side tables.

Senkki

I love everything about Senkki Furniture.  With their gorgeous retro styling, these pieces look right at home in a gallery (as above in the Jam Factory exhibition).  A pair of bedsides would look right at home in my bedroom!

Desperately wishing I was in Melbourne for The Design Files Open House this week.   The new Jardan collection really stood out and caught my eye.  Lusting after pretty much all of it....

Vissy Credenza

I have lusted after the Vissy Credenza since I worked at Cite (now Zenith Interiors).   It had slipped out of my child-fuzzy memory until we met again at a launch party at the Zenith showroom in April.

Oh Vissy, I'd forgotten how I adore you......

Tatler by Oz Design

Not usually a fan of the mass produced stuff that comes from big companies like Oz Design and Freedom, but I saw this ad (above) in a magazine and it caught my eye.  Go Oz Design!   The Tatler's a cracker.  And at around $1500, a good price too.

RetroModern

I just stumbled across this great Australian company, RetroModern.  The premise is they source vintage pieces of furniture and give them a loving update.  Don't they look awesome!

Based in both Adelaide and Melbourne, these guys are happy to deliver Australia wide.  You can even pick an original piece and have it customised to your liking.  Doesn't get any better than that.

"retromodern brings classic retro style & design into modern interiors. We source, restore and prolong the life of retro furniture.

retromodern specialises in the restoration and alteration of  sideboards, buffets and chest of draws. However we purchase and restore many other retro items that appeal to us as collectors.

Our approach to these items is unique and has become very popular. The demand for retro items is growing and it has become increasingly difficult to find the right piece. We aim to broaden that search by restoring old unwanted items and turning them into something fantastic!  Items that can transform a room!

We turn a unrestored piece of furniture into your specific design. Choose from one of our unrestored pieces or send us a photo of your mid century find for a quote. Each is restored and altered to bring out the best possible appearance. Retaining a timeless appearance, they are tomorrow's antiques and this is what makes them special.

Items that look new but retain their vintage style, design and feel.
