I am officially obsessed with Orla Kiely. I also love Method. So you can only imagine my excitement when I came across this collaboration today! Followed by massive disappointment of course, because these lovely items aren't available to us in lonely little Australia :(
“We love Method’s fun and eco-friendly approach in designing their cleaning products so it’s been wonderful to bring our bright, colorful prints onto the bottles to complement these lovely new fragrances”Orla’s graphic prints adorn her ready-to-wear clothing collections, house wares, furnishings, perfume and accessories. Method designers worked with Orla to select four bright and fun prints that would complement Method’s iconic bottle designs and inspire four unique fragrances – pear ginger, vanilla chai, bay leaf and primrose.
“Working with Orla and her team was a natural fit given the mutual love of color, patterns and design shared by both our brands,” said Sally Clarke, creative director of Method.
Method used Orla’s patterns as the starting point for the fragrance development with this collection. The coral-colored floral print inspired a primrose fragrance – an updated twist on a classic rose – while an herbaceous, rich bay leaf brings the iconic green stem print to life. The pear pattern inspired a fresh fragrance with a hint of ginger to create a bright, clean aroma that carries across hand wash to cleaning spray and dish soap.
“We love Method’s fun and eco-friendly approach in designing their cleaning products so it’s been wonderful to bring our bright, colorful prints onto the bottles to complement these lovely new fragrances,” said Orla Kiely.
Available this fall at Target stores nationwide and on methodhome.com, the Method + Orla Kiely designer collaboration includes gel and foaming hand wash, dish soap and all-purpose cleaning spray ($2.99 - $3.99). The biodegradable and naturally derived formulas are free of any dirty ingredients, like parabens, phthalates, triclosan and EDTA. And packaged in recyclable bottles made with 100% recycled plastic (PCR).
